Construction has FINALLY begun on the new office.  We were down this weekend for a couple meetings and were surprised when they were actually further ahead with construction than we had anticipated... truly a miracle contractor story!  Sorry for all the random construction photos, but we know what they mean!

Beach- June 2010

Merzy and I took Logan to the beach one day & it was so nice and sunny about by my parents house but when we got down to the beach it looked like this and was fairly chilly.  Logan was still excited to be able to go over a bridge with the train tracks below, and then watch a train come by about every 30minutes.

Probably the best part of the beach....THE TRAIN!

Still haven't figured out this new posting with the pictures!

Trip to South Coast Plaza-June 2010

The day after the wedding we were all exhausted but we decided we needed to get out of the house. So Brent, Logan & I headed to South Coast Plaza to take Logan on the Merry-Go-Round & Merz decided to tag along & be our own personal paprazzi. We also just had to stop at Cafe Rio for dinner since it just happened to be on the way.

Daddy & Logan being wild and crazy in Cafe Rio.

On the merry go round...logan can't wait for it to start.

I think he was saying "all aboard" here... one track mind.

because Logan saw a giant butter outside the Rainforest Cafe.

Wedding Prep

After we got back from palm springs it was the mad dash to finish getting ready for the wedding. Mom had to finish Megan's wedding dress, Megan took her bridal pictures, I was a sewing fiend sewing HUGE chunks of burlap together for tablecloths...and then of course we all took time out to get a little pampered!

Finishing the wedding dress.

with the 2 "things" in the back that were banned from the sewing room (logan because he got into stuff & roscoe because he liked to pee & poop in there...not good with the white wedding dress there).

Not sure why this is the standard pose when you're getting your nails done.

Tomorrow is the big day.

Palm Springs-May 2010

We actually all made it out to my family's annual trip to Palm Springs over Memorial Weekend this year. The last time we were there was 2 years ago when Logan was just 5 months...it's crazy how time flies. Brent was able to fly into California on wednesday, and then we headed out to Palm Springs with Meredith on Thursday. We made our obligatory stop at the outlets on the way in & as usual there were no amazing deals...I have yet to find these killer deals at outlets that people are always talking about (maybe it's because I'm shopping with a 2 year old and don't have the patience to really "shop").

I was horrible at taking pictures this year, partially because we still haven't replaced our camera that broke at the begining of the year & I just keep borrowing everyone elses, therefore I never have a camera on me. Anyways, it was fun to have all the guys there; Brent, Josh, Dan, Erik & his buddy Shane had fun playing Risk and hanging out "in" the condo, while us girls had fun at the pool with Logan. Mom on the other hand was quarintined in the condo working on brides maids dresses & table cloth covers because the wedding was only 2 weeks away. We did manage to see her at dinner occasionally when she came out for fresh air!

We finished off the trip with our multi-family fireside & BBQ (except this year, we never got around to finishing our grocery shopping so we made a quick run to In-N-Out...no one was complaining & it definitely made doing the dishes a lot easier)! Then Logan & I had to leave on Monday afternoon to take Brent back to the airport. We managed to take 7 different freeways just to get to LAX...we took fewer freeways to get all the from Californai back to Texas!!! We were sad to see Daddy go, but he was headed back out in 2 weeks for the wedding.
