More pictures per Megan's request...

When my mom was out visiting for Logan's blessing we took Logan up to Kiddie Kandids with Brent's mom to have his picture taken. Logan was more interested in sleeping then smiling (or even opening his eyes) for the camera. He just grunted when the photographer would move him and tickle him to get him to open his eyes. So we have some cute "sleeping" pictures of Logan. However, as soon as we were done he decided to open his eyes and smile for me...of course! We'll try again at 6 months.

Logan's Blessing

Logan was blessed this last weekend at our church here in Columbus by Brent. We were so fortunate to have both of our parents out for the blessing even though it was a very quick trip for both families. Logan was an angel during the beautiful blessing that Brent gave and he even opened his eyes super wide when Brent showed him off to the congregation. Brent later told me that he kept feeling him poop during the blessing which was a little distracting for him!

Brent was even a good sport about Logan wearing a "dress" (as long as this was the last time)...we all thought he looked adorable. My mom made this blessing gown in 1978; myself and all of my siblings have worn it for our blessings. David and Kat also had their new baby Christian blessed in it.

Logan and Indiana

Indiana is finally getting used to not being the center of attention any more. It's been pretty funny to watch his reaction towards Logan. He's very curious about him and is always coming over to take a sniff...especially if there's a stinky diaper. He still doesn't like it when he cries though and will generally leave the room to get away from all the noise. The funniest thing he's done though was to steel a sock right off of Logan's foot. Logan was hanging out in his carrier with his little feet just dangling at the bottom. Indiana was sniffing around and he spotted THE SOCKS (Indy is a sucker for socks!). Mom and I looked over and just then Indy managaed to get hold of the end of the sock and pull it off of Logan's foot and dart off with it. Mom and I just sat there rolling because it was probably one of the funniest things we've ever seen!

Logan at 3AM

Well we've struggled through the last few weeks which seem to be a huge blurr. Logan had been pretty fussy because we found out he had acid reflux and just has not been sleeping very much...which in turn niether have we. Brent took over a couple feedings this weekend so I could get some much needed rest and regain some sanity. Despite being thoroughly exhausted Brent couldn't resist how cute he looked at 3am after he was done eating and snapped some pictures. Does this look like a tired baby?? At least Indiana was sleepy!

Go Bucks!

Unfortunately we suffered another disapointing loss at the BCS National Championship-but we did have a very cute buckeye fan on our hands!!
Logan was sleeping very soundly before we were about to leave to go watch the game and Brent thought it would be a good idea to put his jersey on that my mom got for us. I really did not want to wake a sleeping baby doing this but Brent was very persistent so I went ahead. Logan didn't move a muscle; it was hilarious. He slept through the whole thing; Brent and I were cracking up because he looked so darn cute and we took about a gizzillion pictures.

More of Logan's First Bath

All cozy warm in mom's arms!

Doing much better now that I'm actually clothed.

Indiana making himself useful during bathtime sorting the laundry for us!
When we came back into the room we found Indiana barried in all of the laundry...probably hunting for some socks.

Logan's First Bath

Ready for his first bath!

Not liking the whole bath thing...

Starting to think that this might be ok...

Thinking the bath is not too bad after all!

Merry Christmas!

As you can see, Logan was thrilled about all of the gifts he received for his first Christmas!

Just one of the many hysterical faces Logan makes!

Daddy and Son!

Our little conehead!

Leaving the Hospital

Excited to get home with our new little yellow bundle--Logan was pretty jaundice for about the first week.

Labor

Brent wasn't quite sure what to do during the whole labor thing so he made himself useful taking random pictures! (He's lucky I was too out of it to realize what he was doing at the time)

My First Attempt at Blogging--Logan Arrives!

Well Meredith has convinced me that it is time to start a blog and I figured since we now have a new little baby this would be a great way to share all of our excitement. So here's a little update on our recent excitement. As many of you know already we welcomed our new little boy into the world on December 8, 2007. Logan James Rigby arrived after 12 hours of what I felt like was traumatic labor. My water broke at about 3am Saturday morning after we had a fun friday evening of steak and bowling!! We made it to the hospital at about 4:30am (because I thought it would be a good idea to take a shower and wash my hair before we went to the hospital and then realized that we should probably head out before we had the baby at home). After just a couple hours in the hospital (and an epidural!) it was time to start pushing. Unfortunately Logan didn't like all of that trauma and his heart rate dropped so the residents thought that they would need to do an emergency c-section. A whirlwind of organized chaos quickly set in and we were in the OR in about 2 minutes, dosed up and ready to go when Logan realized that he was really just fine. So no c-section (and still no doctor, he's supposedly on his way), but we had to wait a few hours for the epidural to wear off before I could start pushing. So a few hours passed and the epidural has definitely completely worn off and Logan is VERY ready to arrive but there is no doctor!! So after about 2 more hours of not being allowed to push and pretty much no epidural the doctor finally decided to show up (we still have no idea where he was or what he was doing). The doctor showed up and allowed us to try the vaccuum extractor one last time before they went back to do a c-section. With one last attempt, Logan came via the vaccuum extractor in about 2 minutes. Logan arrived with a very pronounced conehead and very alert! It was so exciting to finally see our new little guy.
