Wedding Prep

After we got back from palm springs it was the mad dash to finish getting ready for the wedding. Mom had to finish Megan's wedding dress, Megan took her bridal pictures, I was a sewing fiend sewing HUGE chunks of burlap together for tablecloths...and then of course we all took time out to get a little pampered!

Finishing the wedding dress.

with the 2 "things" in the back that were banned from the sewing room (logan because he got into stuff & roscoe because he liked to pee & poop in there...not good with the white wedding dress there).

Not sure why this is the standard pose when you're getting your nails done.

Tomorrow is the big day.

Palm Springs-May 2010

We actually all made it out to my family's annual trip to Palm Springs over Memorial Weekend this year. The last time we were there was 2 years ago when Logan was just 5 months...it's crazy how time flies. Brent was able to fly into California on wednesday, and then we headed out to Palm Springs with Meredith on Thursday. We made our obligatory stop at the outlets on the way in & as usual there were no amazing deals...I have yet to find these killer deals at outlets that people are always talking about (maybe it's because I'm shopping with a 2 year old and don't have the patience to really "shop").

I was horrible at taking pictures this year, partially because we still haven't replaced our camera that broke at the begining of the year & I just keep borrowing everyone elses, therefore I never have a camera on me. Anyways, it was fun to have all the guys there; Brent, Josh, Dan, Erik & his buddy Shane had fun playing Risk and hanging out "in" the condo, while us girls had fun at the pool with Logan. Mom on the other hand was quarintined in the condo working on brides maids dresses & table cloth covers because the wedding was only 2 weeks away. We did manage to see her at dinner occasionally when she came out for fresh air!

We finished off the trip with our multi-family fireside & BBQ (except this year, we never got around to finishing our grocery shopping so we made a quick run to In-N-Out...no one was complaining & it definitely made doing the dishes a lot easier)! Then Logan & I had to leave on Monday afternoon to take Brent back to the airport. We managed to take 7 different freeways just to get to LAX...we took fewer freeways to get all the from Californai back to Texas!!! We were sad to see Daddy go, but he was headed back out in 2 weeks for the wedding.

Logan's First Trip to a California Carwash

Here comes our car!

In anticipation of Daddy coming to town, we thought it'd be a good idea to get the very filthy car washed. Logan was very excited about going to the carwash, but when we got there he didn't quite understand why we had to get out of the car because any other carwash that we've been to in Texas & Ohio, you actually get out of the car & wash it yourself. But not in California... Logan was thrilled to see the car go through the wash & then watch all the "guys" wash & dry it.
However, a couple weeks later we decided to wash our cars at home one saturday, and Logan thought that was waaaaaayyyy better. I didn't even think to take pictures, but he loved standing with the hose pointed at the car & then washing his own "diggers & trucks" as well. That will definitely be a fun saturday activity once we finally get into our own house with a hose!

Erik's Prom

What good is it to have lots of family around ALL the time if they can't come and enjoy seeing you off to prom!!! Poor Erik had to put up with EVERYONE coming to take pictures for his first trip to prom...he was a great sport about it though & us sisters had a ball taking picutres & trying to relice our high school years!

Leaving to go pick up his cute date in his sweet kia!

JT even managed to lose his tooth while we were there taking pictures. His old preschool teacher was there with her daughter & actually pulled his tooth for him!! (even though he wouldn't let me yank on it 2 days earlier...go figure!)

Ready for the tooth fairy!

Cool dudes!

Logan obviously didn't care about the whole prom thing, but was very excited to get to feed the ducks!

Megan's Bridal Shower

Meredith & Adrianne put together Megan's "pirate" themed bridal shower, which turned out very cute. Of course there was great food: a waffle bar, mini fritatas, tons of fruit & juice. Meredith had some cute games planned as well as a sweet letter from Dan and a very cute video.

We always somehow manage to color coordinate without planning!

Arrrgggg matey!!!

I need some booty!!!

Random Picutres from April

These didn't quite fit into there own category, but I thought were cute enough to post (I'm slightly biased).

New shoes!!! Poor Logan, his shoes were 1.5 sizes too small!!!

Decorating a box to send to Daddy

Helping Nonni out with laundry.

One sunday afternoon Logan was particularly grumpy and kept wanting his new trucks up on the table with him so I finally gave in & said what the heck. He was slightly shocked...and then very happy!

He kept trying to scoop his food into it.

And more brownies!

His 1st exposure to video games...yes, it's Thomas the Train.

Beach with Merzy

I had to make a trip to San Antonio for a dental conference with Brent, so while I was gone Logan fully enjoyed his time with Merzy. She took him to the beach not once, but twice while I was gone.

Choo-choos...of course!

Merzy brought cheetos...which Logan LOVES!

Messy fingers.
